It’s starts off as it always does, with a boy trying to impress a girl.
Looking for the perfect gift for her, nothing could beat the idea of a small home renovation that would include a wine cellar. The search began, and Google started spitting back a pile of results for wine storage, but nothing cool-looking or customizable to fit the physical space without spending ridiculous amounts of money and taking forever to get done. How could this be? Isn’t it just a piece of furniture that holds bottles?
Frustration became the fuel to the fire, and he started drafting up some designs.
He is the pattened co-inventor of VPP, the world’s gold standard of mountain bike suspension. He is an industrial designer, consumer experience expert, and just a generally clever fellow. His day job as CEO and Founder of 54blue finds him and his team designing and building stores all around North America for some of the world’s largest athletic and consumer brands.
54blue happens to have all the expertise, equipment, and workforce to create any form of custom furniture.

OUR VISION
Every product needs to have a very low bar for installation.
In our research, over 60% of non-climate controlled wine cellar costs end up being on-site installation costs. This, in our opinion, is entirely not acceptable. Most of our racks are self-installable and more straightforward than anything from our friends at Ikea. However, some of our more complicated designs need a professional, and we will always clearly tell you. Check out our installation scale to understand what you are looking at.
